Grass Lake fishing in Southern Utah is quite adventurous because of the grassy shoreline, which makes shoreline fishing quite difficult. - Stabilization of the Water Level
The water level of the lake was restored and stabilized after the area experienced a severe decline due to the eradication of beavers. Because of the great decline, the trophy brook trout that were once caught in the lake are gone. Only small fishes with large heads are often caught in Grass Lake nowadays. This is the reason why the lake is being restored.
Since the successful stabilization of the water level in the lake, trout were re-introduced and stocked regularly. Because of this, the lake is now a viable fishery where trout can be caught, though not as the same size as before.
